No. You can skip signing in and the app works completely, storing everything on your phone. Signing in with Apple exists so your writing can follow you to another device, and so it survives if you lose the phone.

Syncing only happens once you are signed in with Apple on both devices. If you started out by skipping sign in, that earlier writing lives in an anonymous account tied to the first phone.

If you are signed in on both and it still has not appeared, open the app, leave it in the foreground for a moment so it can pull, then check again. If it stays missing, write to us before reinstalling anything.

Because we decided there would never be one. Deep self work is not a game, and an app that makes you feel you broke something is not a sanctuary. You will not find counters, badges, or guilt notifications anywhere in Nouvel, and that is not a feature waiting to be added.

Yes. Open your profile and choose Reading Style. Classic sets questions and reflections in a serif, Cursive switches the app to a handwritten face, and Normal uses a plain sans throughout. The whole app follows your choice. Light and dark are there too.

Only the entries a feature needs, only at the moment that feature runs, and only on our server. Nothing you write trains a model and nothing you write is shown to another person.

Any single entry can be deleted in the app. For a full export, or to delete your account and everything synced with it, email us and we will take care of it.
