Common questions
Do I have to make an account?
Yes. An account is what keeps your writing safe if you lose the phone and lets it follow you to a new one. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email; if Apple sign in is not available, you can sign in with a one time code sent to your email instead.
My writing is not showing up on my other device
Sign in with the same account on both devices and your writing syncs across. Give it a moment with a connection on the new phone; the newest entries arrive first.
If you are signed in on both and it still has not appeared, open the app, leave it in the foreground for a moment so it can pull, then check again. If it stays missing, write to us before reinstalling anything.
Why is there no streak or progress score?
Because we decided there would never be one. Deep self work is not a game, and an app that makes you feel you broke something is not a sanctuary. You will not find counters, badges, or guilt notifications anywhere in Nouvel, and that is not a feature waiting to be added.
Can I change the handwriting and the fonts?
Yes. Open your profile and choose Reading Style. Classic sets questions and reflections in a serif, Cursive switches the app to a handwritten face, and Normal uses a plain sans throughout. The whole app follows your choice. Light and dark are there too.
What does the AI actually see?
Only the entries a feature needs, only at the moment that feature runs, and only on our server. Nothing you write trains a model and nothing you write is shown to another person.

Can I get my writing out, or delete all of it?
Any single entry can be deleted in the app, and so can your whole account, from your profile. Deletion is scheduled a day out so you can change your mind, then everything synced with it is removed. For a full export, email us.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone, on iOS 17 or later. There is no iPad or Android version today.
